Karmic MATE, and how to live alongside with Cinnamon

Karmic Koala was, alongside with Maverik Meerkat, the best Ubuntu release eva. Of course, I loved Ubuntu, and I still love the old Ubuntu, but not the new one. Since neither 10.10 nor 9.10 are still supported, I decided to try to bring them the life again using MATE and... it worked.

Please note that the title is totaly an irony, like the following: «Canonical, I love you».

The famous new Ubuntu product is... Ubuntu for Phone! When the counter of their website ended, their servers crashed. That shows us how stable Ubuntu is.

My 2013 purpose and why do I use Linux Mint

As some of us may know, I used to hop a lot. I was happy with my Gnome 2 on Ubuntu 11.04, when Canonical took the great decision of removing it. That wasn't good for my health. I started trying Gnome Shell on Fedora, in both 16 and 17 versions, and although I liked Fedora itself, Gnome Shell was and is a disaster.
